Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner is responsible for one of the greatest stories in football history.

An undrafted quarterback who later worked at a grocery store to make ends meet, Warner later became an MVP and Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the St. Louis Rams.

A charismatic leader and charitable person during and after his NFL career, Warner has also taken care of his loved ones. Warner did something incredible for his son, Zachary, who is blind.

The Kurt Warner story can best be divided into six specific sections.

Warner impressed at Northern Iowa, an FCS program, but went undrafted in 1994. After a brief stint with Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers, Warner took his talents to the Arena Football League.

The journey of playing in the Arena League and working at a grocery store leads to the third section, which is Warner’s time with the St. Louis Rams. After taking over for an injured Trent Green in 1999, Warner won the MVP Award that season and guided the Rams to a Super Bowl victory.

Warner won another MVP, and nearly a second Super Bowl, two years later. Injuries, age, and backing up young quarterbacks Eli Manning and Cheap Matt Leinart Jersey on the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals, respectively, had Warner’s career on the brink.

Then came that miraculous final section, where Warner led the Arizona Cardinals to Super Bowl 43 after the 2008 season. Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers emerged victorious that night.

Warner took Arizona to the NFC divisional round the next season, his final year in the league. He is currently in the sixth section, one that has seen him become a high-profile broadcaster and enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Kurt Warner parlayed that brilliant 1999 season into a long NFL career — and, eventually, a bronze bust at the Hall of Fame.

Warner made plenty of money along the way. According to Spotrac, Warner made $62.7 million in the NFL. Warner made over $31 million in his five years with the Arizona Cardinals.

The two-time first-team All-Pro selection brought home another $28.2 million from the St. Louis Rams.

Cheap Kurt Warner Jersey has always been a man of faith, someone willing to help others and hope they pass those kind gestures onto someone else.

When the time came, Warner had to do something similar for his oldest son, Zack. According to CBS News, Zack is legally blind.

Kurt and his wife, Brenda, tried finding somewhere in Arizona that Zack could live on his own, to no success. The Warner family eventually built a home, known as Treasure House, where Zack and others in similar circumstances could live.

By October 2018, the home housed Zack and five other residents. Kurt explained what made Treasure House so alluring to build and fund.

“Here’s a place where they can grow and they can thrive and they can chase after their dreams. We believe it can be life changing for thousands and thousands of families.”

According to its official website, the Treasure House prided itself on providing residents with a “strong emphasis on independence, respect, and community integration.”

“I think that this will be our legacy more than a Hall of Fame,” Brenda Warner said.

Today, Dec. 25 is by far the most anticipated day of the year as families and friends gather to make lifelong memories. This probably won’t come as a shock to those who know me and the seven people who read my column but some of my fondest Christmas Day memories are sports-related.

I’ll start with my favorite Christmas Day sports memory.

It was 1995 and the Dallas Cowboys were on the road playing the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. Cheap Emmitt Smith Jersey needed just one touchdown to break what was then the record for most rushing touchdowns in a season but it was the Cowboys’ final game of the regular season so if it was to going to happen, it had to happen on that Christmas night.

I remember jumping up and down as the Cowboys took an early 24-0 lead but also getting nervous knowing none of those three touchdowns were scored by Smith. Two of them were touchdown passes to Kevin Williams, a No. 2 receiver who hadn’t seen much of the end zone that year, so it was easy to be happy for him but I wanted my favorite running back to break that record. The other touchdown at that point came on a pick-six from Brock Marion.

Smith eventually score that touchdown in the fourth quarter and I’m guessing if you were one of my family members watching with me, you probably would have thought I was the one who broke the record.

A fun fact about that game – footage of it was used for the movie “Jerry Maguire.” I saw that movie for the first time within the last few years and recognized what game that was right away. Some people might say that’s sad but I’m kind of proud of that fact.

During the dynasty years, the Lakers provided a lot of Christmas-day entertainment. I remember vividly when the Lakers beat the Celtics in 2008, not only because of the LA-Boston rivalry and the fact that it was a rematch of the previous NBA Finals but that was also the game when Phil Jackson earned his 1,000th win.

Four years prior to that, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal faced off the first time since being teammates. The Heat and Lakers were tied at 91 when O’Neal fouled but the Heat came out victorious 104-102. It’s sad to think of the fact that Bryant is no longer with us but he provided us with many great memories, even Christmas-Day memories.

Legendary Miami Dolphins head coach Don Shula, who sadly, also passed away in 2020, broke on Christmas Day. In 1994, the Pro Football Hall of Famer coached his Dolphins to a 27-20 victory over the Detroit Lions, his 319th regular-season win, an NFL record.

I’m too young to remember it but the Dolphins were involved in what has become known as the “Longest Game in NFL History,” in 1971. At that time, if the two teams were still tied after one overtime period, they’d go into a second, and that’s what happened between the Dolphins and Chiefs. A field goal eventually led Miami to a 27-24 win.

These are just a few sports Christmas moments that stand out the most and there’s no telling what today has in store. The Saints and Vikings could add to the festivities. The NBA could also provide some surprises with the Warriors vs. Bucks, Nets vs. Celtics or Mavericks vs. Lakers. Maybe sports happening today will provide some positive memories for a year that many people would like to forget.

With all that being said, however you celebrate this holiday season and whatever games you will be watching, have a Merry Christmas.

TEMPE, AZ — Because of the ongoing pandemic, Pat’s Run will again be held virtually in 2021.

“While we are disappointed that we won’t be in the same physical location, we will all still come together for the spirited, family-friendly event that we’ve all come to know and love,” the Cheap Pat Tillman Jersey Foundation said in an email to subscribers and a note on its website.

Instead of a single-day race in Tempe, the virtual window for runners to complete their 4.12 mile run will be extended to three days on April 23-25, 2021.

Registration opens on Jan. 12, 2021 and runners will receive a t-shirt and a medal.

It is the signature fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation, which supports active military, veterans, and their spouses.

The foundation is named after Pat Tillman, an ASU athlete and scholar and Arizona Cardinals recruit who put his NFL career on hold and joined the U.S. Army following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Tillman was killed by friendly-fire after his unit was attacked.

“We are also sad not to be coming together this year, but we feel a virtual race is the best way to bring our community together to support our Tillman Scholars and honor Pat’s memory, while also ensuring everyone’s safety and success for Pat’s Run,” a note on the website said.

The in-person race is traditionally held in Tempe and ends inside Sun Devil Stadium. The 2020 race was also held virtually because of the pandemic.

TEMPE, Ariz. — Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will play in Sunday’s win-or-go-home season finale against the Los Angeles Rams, he said Wednesday.

Murray suffered a leg injury late in last week’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, putting his status for Sunday’s game in question.

Earlier this week, coach Kliff Kingsbury was “hopeful” Murray would play. The second-year quarterback put any questions to rest during his weekly video conference call with reporters.

“Yeah, I’ll be playing,” Murray said.

In his first comments since the injury, Murray said he’s “feeling good” and that he was hit in the “right spot” on his right leg by 49ers defensive lineman Alex Barrett.

If the Cardinals beat the Rams, they’ll make the playoffs for the first time since 2015, when they went to the NFC Championship Game. If they lose, the Cardinals will end their season 8-8.

This is the first win-or-go-home game in Murray’s short NFL career, leading the reigning rookie of the year to say “the game is different.”

“There’s no holding back,” Murray said. “We lose, I’ll be home, chilling. My leg, I’m fine.”

Sunday’s win-and-in bout between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams won’t feature two backup quarterbacks.

Cards QB Cheap Kyler Murray Jersey told reporters Wednesday he expects to play Sunday.

“There’s no holding back … my leg. … I’ll be fine,” Murray said, via NFL Network’s Omar Ruiz.

Murray went down on Arizona’s final play of Week 16’s 20-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers with a leg injury.

The second-year QB was able to practice Wednesday, paving the way for him to play in Sunday’s pivotal tilt.

Murray has averaged 313.3 offensive yards per game (combined pass and rush YPG) and has 37 TDs (26 pass TDs, 11 rush TDs) this season. He’s one of three QBs since 1950 with 35-plus offensive TDs and 300-plus offensive YPG in their second NFL season (others: Dan Marino and Patrick Mahomes).

Murray playing will keep Cheap Chris Streveler Jersey as the backup.

The Rams aren’t as fortunate, planning to start backup John Wolford after Jared Goff broke his thumb last week, requiring surgery.

If the Cardinals win Sunday’s bout, they are in the playoffs. The Rams can make the postseason with a win or a loss, if the Chicago Bears fall to the Green Bay Packers.
